Japanese Aesthetic

Aesthetic. what is “aesthetic”?

According to google, aesthetic is a set of principles underlying and guiding the work of a particular artist or artistic movement.

You might have seen those very effortless, undone and dreamy pictures on Instagram that has this very distinguishable theme to it. They convey this particularly soft feeling and are simply beautiful to look at.

I’ve been recently following a lot of Japanese designers and artists on Instagram, and I’ve noticed that my feed looks different. It has a very minimalistic charm to it. It’s very pleasing to look at.

The question is, how does one implement this aesthetic in their lives if they aren’t from Japan and also not appropriate Japanese culture?
